BIPC PROVIDES STREET LIGHTS FOR COURT FIVE COMMUNITY

By David Zaan

As part of her cooperate social responsibility, the Benue Investment and Property Company, BIPC has provided street light to court five community of North Bank where the BIPC Guest House is located.

The gesture, according to BIPC boss Mr. Jack Mulya, is in line with Governor Samuel Ortom administration's commitment to fighting crime in the state and the urban beautification program. The lights are also meant to protect BIPC Guest House customers against theft and beautify its environment thereby increasing customer patronage.
The BIPC boss sued for the cooperation of the community to protect the street lights against vandalism.
Speaking over the development, some stakeholders in the community commended the management of BIPC and Governor Samuel Ortom for providing light for the community and appealed for its extension to other areas in the community.
They emphasised that the provision of the solar light will go a long way in curbing criminal activities in the area and pledged the community's support in protecting the solar lights from vandalism.
It would be recalled that before the introduction of the lights, cases of theft around the area which before now was in total darkness were severally recorded.
