In an interview with our correspondents, Hwande explained that he made up his mind to help the needy because it is an obligation by God that the haves should assist the haves not. According to him, the society he comes from is backward most especially in the area of education and hence, he saw every need to encourage the youths in his little way so that they can attain greater heights.
Few days ago, 14 Students who are studying in various tertiary institutions across the country had yesterday smiled home with different packages that will assist them finance their academic journeys courtesy of Dr Hwande Scholarship scheme.

He maintained that so long as he lives, he will continue to help the needy in order to uplift the standard of living of his people generally. He reemphasized the importance of formal education and sued for cooperation from other well meaning sons and daughters of Tivland to team up with his initiative so that they can leave a mark on the lives of people.
Hwande further explained that, he will soon delve into a foundation that will be solely built to salvage the society not only in the educational sector but in other viable sectors too. He explained that his initiative to venture into this scheme was born out of the love his late mother had for education which has enormously transcended to him.
Speaking on the current economic crisis, Dr Hwande lamented that the Ortom's administration though with worst economic situation in the history of the state is making judicious use of the meagre resources that is accrued to the state saying he was ever ready to compliment his efforts towards ensuring a successful Benue. According to him, Governor Ortom came in with great intentions and efficacious initiatives which when aggressively supported will turn the tables of Benue state to an envious height even with the cold hands of economic recession.
He called on all well meaning Nigerians to Pray for President Muhammedu Buhari and Governor Samuel Ortom to succeed stressing that only them have the capacity to deliver our society from the shackles of bad government and poverty.
