FOR LADIES ONLY: Four Main Causes of vag!nal odour and prevention

Many ladies have had cause to deal with vag!nal odour at one point or the other in their life. Vag!nal odour is to say the least, embarrassing and can crash confidence level as well as affect s3xual health negatively. It is typically from inflammation of the vag!nal area.
Causes of vaginal odour are:
1. Infection
2. Poor Personal hygiene
3. S3xually Transmitted Diseases
4. Abnormal passageway between the rectum and vagina
1. Infection
* Bacteria Vag!nosis
A typical type of infection that can cause vaginal odour is bacteria vag!nosis. The vaginal normally contains bacteria which are originally harmless. However, an increase in growth of these bacteria leads to bacterial vaginosis.

*Yeast Infection
Yeast infection can also cause vaginal odour. Most of the yeast infections are caused by Candida albicans. Just like in vag!nosis, the problem is not the presence of Candida, but the increase in its growth. Symptoms of yeast infection can be itching, vag!nal discharge, inflammation and pain during urination. It is estimated that 3 out of 4 women experience yeast infection at one point or the other in their life.

2. Poor Personal Hygiene
Good personal hygiene is important to keep the vaginal free from odour. Poor hygiene around the vag!nal can lead to inflammation of the area. This can cause a foul odour to ooze from the vag!nal.
3. S3xually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)
Sexually Transmitted Diseases have also been linked to vaginal odour. An example of such STDs is trichinosis.

Useful tips
Wear clean tampons and change them regularlys Avoid Douching, it is not necessary; it can damage or destroy the normal acidity of the vagina resulting in vaginal problems. If you suffer from ant type of vag!nal infection, it is recommended to avoid wearing tight underwear and pants so that the vag!na can breathe easier. Tight clothes can irritate the vag!na and cause or increase vaginal odor. Wearing cotton panties is also important. If a vaginal infection persists despite treatment, you need to see a doctor because it could be a sign of Cancer of the cervix or vagina, Bacterial Vaginosis, Chlamydia, Genital Herpes, Gonorrhea, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, S3xually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), Vag!nitis,Yeast Infection, etc.
For women, after intercourse, it is important to go urinate. Urination after sex helps to remove any possible bacteria that may be outside or inside the vaginal canal that would go up in the urethra.
