The Speaker of Benue state House of Assembly Hon Terkimbi Ikyange, his Deputy, James Okefe, Majority Leader, Benjamin Adanyi have been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, LINKNAIJA,COM reports.

It would be recalled that the EFCC had invited the Speaker  along seven other  lawmakers to answer questions in regards to the fraud of N750m said to be car loan.
Linknaija.com gathered that the speaker who appeared to the anti-graft agency’s office Monday was asked not to go as his explanation was grossly lagging in factuality.
James Okefe, the deputy Speaker is said to have selectively purchase vehicles for some select members especially those of the ruling APC ignoring those from the PDP.
He however, after sharing the remaining funds with the house leaders, Okefe allegedly prepared payment vouchers covering all members where he used fake chassis numbers against names of the members who were denied the cars.
