Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has on behalf of the Government and people of the state, condoled President Muhammadu Buhari and the entire Federal Executive Council over the death of the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Chief James Ocholi, SAN, who died in a ghastly motor accident which also claimed the lives of his wife and son yesterday.
In a condolence message to the President, Governor Ortom says the death of the legal luminary has denied Nigeria of his sterling qualities at a time his services are needed to drive the Change Agenda of the present administration.
In a Statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mr Terver Akase, the Governor describes the late Chief James Ocholi as a patriotic and humble Nigerian who sought to build bridges of development for his state and the country at large.
Governor Ortom says the President and all Nigerians should take solace in the fact that Chief Ocholi's 55 years on earth were meaningfully spent in the temple of justice as a peace advocate and democrat who was committed to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He prays God to grant the Ocholi family, the people of Kogi State and all Nigerians the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant the gentle soul of the late Minister eternal rest.
