The Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congresses, APC, Benue State, Comrade Abba Yaro says the party will continue to empower the grassroot supporters across the state as a sign of appreciation to their struggle to bring the change in the state, even as he called on the people of Ogbadibo local government to support the Executive Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, to succeed in his bid to transform the state.
 Comrade Yaro who is the secretary, Association of APC chairmen in Nigeria, made the call during an interactive session with the local government party officials at Otukpa the Ogbadibo local government headquarters, where he also donated motorcycles and a Car to the ward EXCO of the party.
According to him, it became necessary to remember the people at the grassroot considering their contribution to the emergence of change and enjoined them to sustain their support and political participation saying gone were the days when dividends of democracy were enjoyed only by the elites in the urban cities.
The State Party Chairman thanked Governor Ortom for always standing with the party and always ensuring that there is internal democracy and peace which has seen a harmonious working relationship amongst the party officials and stakeholders.
Earlier, the Senior Special Assistant to governor Ortom on liaison matters, Mr. Hanmation Mark, thanked the people of Ogbadibo for always standing by their son comrade Abba Yaro whom he described as a political juggernaut of zone C.
Hanmation enjoined the local government officials of the party in Ogbadibo not to lose faith in the change they fought for, saying that the difficulties people are facing now were caused by the past administration who looted the wealth of the state without thinking about the future of the state.
He said even with the scarce resources, Governor Ortom has done well in terms of infrastructure and wondered what N107 Billion and the shares that were wrongly sold by the past administration would have done in alleviating the plight of the people.
Welcoming the State Chairman and other members of the State Working Committee of the Party to Ogbadibo local government, the local government Chairman of the party Hon. Andrew Ocheme thanked Comrade Yaro and members of his entourage for finding Ogbadibo local government chapter of the party worthy to benefit from the scheme.
The Chairman who also thanked APC government for giving them the best council Sole administrator in the person of Hon. Simon Akola, said it was the first time in the history of the local government that such empowerment was taken place.
In their separate remarks, the Zonal Chairman of the Party in Zone C, Alhaji Muhammed Hassan, the Permanent Commissioner representing zone C at SUBEB Hon. Moses Enenche, all applauded the pragmatic leadership style of the Abba Yaro led APC in the state.
They thanked God for giving them a party chairman who is always ready to carry the grassroot supporters along.
Responding on behalf of the recipients, Mr. Sunday Agbo, appreciated the State Party Chairman and his entire Exco for bringing dividends of democracy down to the ward level saying they were proud of the APC administration which is transparent and full of human oriented policies.
The entire Ogbadibo party officials were unanimous that, Comrade Abba Yaro was the best man for the job and promised to always stand with him at all times.
A total of 16 motorcycles were presented to sixteen Exco members of the Party, including all the thirteen ward Chairmen and three local government officials while a car was presented to the local government Chairman of the party by Comrade Abba Yaro to enhance their movement.
