Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has directed the Head of Service of the State, Inwata Adaikwu, to immediately offer employment to Isaac Sekav Ahungwa, who completed the 2016 National Youth Service Scheme in Oyo State and rode a bicycle from Ibadan to Makurdi.

Governor Ortom also gave him a grant of N500, 000 to enable him settle down and start life.
He also provided N250, 000 for refreshment to the Facebook fans who followed the journey on social media and accompanied the bicycle man to the Old Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House, for the reception.
The Governor stated that he took the action in appreciation of the patriotism exhibited by the youth who hails from Gboko local government and had read Mathematics/Computer Science at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
He urged other Nigerians to emulate the patriotism of Mr Ahungwa who took time to interact with students on love for the country while on his trip.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Terver Akase, quoted the cyclist as stating that Governor Ortom’s story inspired him to embark on the trip
