Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom yesterday met in Abuja with a delegation from India’s Dr. Hassan’s Hospital and Diagnostic Centre. The team led by Manager of the Hospital, Girija Pandey, briefed the Governor on the ongoing feasibility study of government-owned hospitals in the state ahead of the planned upgrade of facilities in the hospitals.
The visit of the delegation was part of the partnership between Benue State and the Government of India for the development of health, agriculture and infrastructure in the state.
The Indian Government has indicated interest in assisting the Ortom administration to realise its plans for the state is various sectors.
Recall that last month, Governor Ortom, received a similar delegation which had the Counsellor, High Commission of India in Nigeria, Mr. Mahender Singh Kanyal, to discuss possible areas of collaboration.
