Benue State Government has promised that no less than four moribund industries will resume production before the end of 2016.
This promise was contained in a paper presented by the Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Tersoo Kpelai at a reunion of his Alma Mata, Command Secondary School, Jos held in Makurdi yesterday.
He said the Governor Ortom-led administration had successfully sealed investment agreements to revamp two moribund industries with Torra KFT Hungary taking over Wanune Tomato company and Greengold Exploration Nig. Ltd. taking over Benue Burnt Bricks, Otukpo and assured that Taraku Mills investment deal will soon be sealed.
Dr Kpelai also called on both indigenous and foreign investors to take advantage of the abundant mineral/agricultural resources, tourism potentials as well as the relative peace provided by Governor Ortom through the amnesty program to invest in the state.
He added that incentives will be made available to encourage and support investment projects.
