Reacting to why he dumped the PDP, the party he spent 17 years. The immediate past PDP legal adviser in Benue has this to say '' I was no longer needed in the party that i built, dont forget i was the pioneer PDP youth leader in Benue, and later Legal Adviser, they no longer extend invitation of their meetings and programmes to me for one year. Even the Court case i have with Hon Ajon Ugboho Challeging my nomination at the primaries, the PDP has withdrawn their Lawyer long time ago. So i felt i was no longer needed and had no choice than to go to a party that needs me, where i have political like minds'' udende lauded.
The Ikuen I Ukum finally justifies his action as it was in line with the provission of the Law which allows an individual to cross over to another political party when the party is in crises and its leadership is divided citing PDP as a good example of a party in dissarray and without leadership.
