Decomposed body of Benue abducted priest found
 The decomposed body of the kidnapped Vicar General of Otukpo Catholic Diocese in Benue state, Very Reverend Father John Adeyi, has been found in a nearby bush at Odoba village in Otukpa area of the state.
 Adeyi was said to have been returning from an outstation after conducting the Sunday Mass when he was abducted on April 24. His family had paid a ransom of N2 million three days after his abduction but he was not released.
 He was kidnapped by unknown persons between Otukpa and Ugbokolo road in Ogbadibo and Okpokwu local government areas of the state nearly two months ago.
 Governor Samuel Ortom, who announced the untimely death of the priest today while speaking at the town-hall meeting he held with Igede people at the College of Education, Oju, auditorium, said Father Adeyi's remains was discovered on Tuesday in Otukpa.
 Ortom in a statement later issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Godwin Akor, said the deceased's skeleton was discovered three kilometers away from the road and added that he has directed the police and medical personnel to collect the skeleton for postmortem.
 The governor, who earlier prmised a N5 million reward for any useful information that could lead to the rescue of the late priest, vowed that the abductors and killers of Father Adeyi must be be brought to book.
 Our correspondent gathered that the remains of the cleric who, was also the parish priest of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Okpoga in Okpokwu LGA had been conveyed to Makurdi by security operatives for a forensic examination to determine its identity while the police was said to have condoned off the area where he was found laying down in clergy cassock and sandals on his feet.
 Police spokesman, Moses Yamu said that the details about the discovery was still sketchy at the time of this report.
