Benue State Executive Council has approved the sum of N485 million for rural electrification. This decision was taken last Wednesday during the 9th Exco held at the Benue People’s House, Makurdi. The contracts for the projects which cut across the 3 senatorial districts of the state has been awarded and scheduled to commence immediately. Similarly, the council approved the award of N1.383billion contracts for the construction of 13 feeder roads across the state’s 3 senatorial districts. Also approved was the clearing of 3, 750 hectres of land at the total cost of N807million, at 11 selected development sites which also cuts across the three geopolitical zones of the state.
