Executive secretary,Benue state emergency management agency, SEMA, Hon.Boniface Ortese today established camps at LGEA central primary sch wannune Tarka and Ije comprehensive college Buruku LGAs for IDPs of over 300 families affected by Fulani attack.
Addressing the IDPs at the camp,Hon Ortese advised the camp commandant to set up a ten member committee comprising of 6men and 4 Women to represent all council wards for easy distribution of relief materials. He sympathised with families that have lost the lives of their members in the affected communities saying that the issue of Fulani was a national one and assured of Govt efforts to end the crisis.
In a remark, chairman, Tarka LG mrs Phoebe Akoom represented by a supervisory councillor, Mbakor Saaondo thanked the state Govt for coming to the aid of the victims.
As at the time of this report IDPs especialy women and children were with bags leaving Mbalaa council ward of Buruku whose today came under attack by the Fulani's while a detachment of Police, Army and civil defense were seen going there to forestall peace in the affected areas.
